BEST OF SAAS MAGAZINE Redesign
Seattle Academy of Arts & Sciences (aka: SAAS) is a 6–12 private school in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle, WA. Every year they release 2 issues of their admissions magazine, titled Best of SAAS. The fall issue tends to be more a recap of the previous year, while the spring issue looks at the year to come.

When I started at Seattle Academy, one of my first projects was getting to rework their bi-annual magazine. It has been a couple years since they had released a new issue, and since I was new as well I took this opportunity to strip everything back to the frame and start anew.
The previous issues had a very different aesthetic from my style, and I believed that the new look and feel could stand to be a bit more modern. I made the physical magazine a bit larger to give me more space to play around with and to let the images and text breathe a bit more on the page. Designing an entire magazine is a lot of work.
